Warranty & Return Policy
IMPORTANT: Please make sure to read our Delivery, Unloading and Change of Address Policy and Shipping Terms. Any charges that may incur will be billed to customers. Third Party fees will be shouldered by the purchaser if the Policies are not followed.
Warranty
The Canadian Timber Collection by Dundalk LeisureCraft Inc. saunas are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship under normal/residential use for a period of three (3) years, as applicable, from the date of receipt of the product. This warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear and/or natural weather conditions. This warranty does not cover regular required maintenance of the sauna, (eg. Tightening bands on the barrels, cleaning or staining the sauna) refer to your sauna assembly manual for maintenance guidelines. This warranty does not cover misuse or negligence and the manufacturer and associated retailers are not liable for any injury or damage caused by the product. This warranty is a parts only warranty and any service or labor costs would not be considered as part of the 3 year warranty.
Order Change/Cancellation Policy
1) You have 24 hours from placing your order to change or cancel for a $100 fee
2) After 24 hours, the order cannot be changed or cancelled.
Return Policy
These saunas are made to order, so cannot be returned.
Customer Refusal to Accept Delivery
1) If a customer refuses delivery, they will not be refunded.
2) If the crate arrives damaged, you can accept the shipment, however, please take pictures of the damage, and note the damage on the shipper’s Bill of Lading (BOL). Immediately contact your dealer or Dundalk, so we can contact the shipper. Mark the Bill of Lading (BOL) with “(Crate arrived open/damaged- Possible Hidden Damage.”

1) Building and packing your sauna in a crate
2) Arranging for shipping to your home
Trucking Company Responsibilities
1) Making an appointment to deliver your sauna
2) Delivering your sauna to the end of your driveway or curbside
a. The trucking company is NOT responsible for unloading the sauna
b. The trucking company is NOT going to back their truck into your driveway
c. Most times the trucking company will deliver with an 18 wheel semi truck
i. Will this size truck fit on your road or neighborhood?
3) If the sauna crate is less than 92” (7 feet), the trucking company may have a lift gate on the back of the truck which can be used to assist getting the sauna off the truck.
4) If the sauna crate is more than 92”, there will not be a lift gate to unload the sauna crate and the customer needs to decide how they are going to get the crate off the truck.
Customer Responsibilities
1) Returning phone calls to the trucking company in a timely manner, to arrange delivery
2) Unloading the crate off the delivery truck. Crates will vary from 6 to 14 feet long and weigh 800 to 1600 lbs.
If the crate is 92” or shorter, it will fit on a liftgate, so the customer and the truck driver can lower the crate to the ground.
If the crate is longer than 92”, a liftgate will not be available to assist in lowering the crate to the ground.
Therefore, the customer will need to do one of the following options:
1) Arrange for a crew of people to help unload the crate by hand off the back of the truck
2) Arrange for a forklift or other piece of equipment to unload the crate. When using a fork lift to pick up the crates, they must be picked up from the end of the crate and fork lift extensions are required
3) Use a trailer and pick up the crate at the delivery terminal
4) Rent a tilt tow truck and pick up the crate at the delivery terminal
5) Contact us to arrange for delivery with a tilt tow truck ($500 additional fee)
Change of Ship to Address
Contact us for a shipping address change. There will not be a charge if the order has not shipped. If it has shipped there will be a $250 charge.
Storage Charges
After a sauna has shipped and arrived at the local delivery terminal, if the customer does not respond quickly to calls to arrange a delivery appointment, needs to determine how to unload the crate, needs to provide an alternate phone number or any other reason which creates a delay to the delivery of the sauna and the trucking company starts to charge storage fees, these storage fees will be billed to you as well.

FAQs
Why does it take so long to ship the sauna?
Each saunas is made to order and the wood is cut to precise specs. All the parts are carefully packed for safe shipment to you. There is often a backlog of orders due to high demand.

Is a shingled roof required?
No, but that option can extend the life of your sauna.

Do the saunas come assembled?
No, these saunas are made to be assembled by the customer. We provide you with PDF instructions and video instructions. You can hire a handyman to assemble the sauna for you. A Licensed Electrician should install electric heaters to make sure they are safe and to code.

How hot can your saunas get?
Our saunas reach 190°F and higher, depending on the conditions outside the sauna.

Do your saunas have the heater with rocks and steam?
Yes, all of our sauna heaters have rocks where you can pour water to create humidity and steam.

How much does it cost to operate the electric heater?
Our heaters operate efficiently with 240V and are comparable to an electric oven or clothes dryer and only use power when used unlike a hot tub that runs consistently.

Can I stain or paint my Sauna?
You can stain or paint the outside of you sauna, do not put anything on the inside. Any semi-transparent outdoor stain will work, Sikkens is a very good product to use.

What type of base does my sauna require?
Any solid level area is OK to install your sauna, a wooden deck, concrete pad, crushed gravel or patio stones are ideal. As long as it is solid and level and the water can drain away.
